University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law (J.D. Option in Law and Technology)
McGill University (B.A., Political Science)
Ida attended the University of Ottawa after completing her B.A at McGill. At McGill, Ida spent most of her time involved in the community (namely the Political Science Students’ Association, Women in Leadership, and SSUNS and McMUN conferences). She was appointed as Ambassador to the former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and awarded the Scarlet Key. In Ottawa, Ida was the Co-President of Women and Law, VP (English Faculty) of the Common Law Students' Society, VP Operations of the Law & Tech Society, TA in public/constitutional law with Dean Adam Dodek, and a Legal Writing Academy leader. She also represented the Faculty as Ambassador to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada at the Constitutional 150.
During law school, she researched AI technologies with the Canada Research Chair in Ethics, Law, and Technology and helped advise key government and technology bodies, including the Royal Canadian Navy, Transport Canada, and the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology at UC Berkeley while she completed a research position in California.
During her free time, Ida composes and picks apart music. She's performed twice at Carnegie Hall and listens to J Cole a little more than she sleeps. She’ll spend the rest of her yelling at Barcelona FC (through her TV screen) while they try to take the Champions League trophy.
