GOODCulture: Eid-Al-Fitr Celebration

Every firm on Bay Street talks a big talk about how much they value diversity. Now, I can't speak to whether or not they follow through, but I can speak to my experiences here at Goodmans, where I feel and live the importance our firm places on diversity every day. Just recently the firm hosted an Eid-Al-Fitr celebration, marking the end of Ramadan. The celebration included educational pieces, speeches from people of different backgrounds, and foods from around the world, all of which amounted to a hugely inclusive and diverse recognition of the holiest holiday in Islam. GOODWork: Staying Organized

Aside from a few office stints here and there, odds are that most of us have likely never been in a formal corporate work environment before. We waltz in on the first day, are shown our fancy spacious offices, and get overcome with excitement. We take pictures, send them to our parents, and really start feeling like "we've made it!" Then training ends, the work starts flowing, and suddenly we realize, we haven't "made it" - this isn't the finish line, it's the starting line.
